FAQ

What is NAC?
NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) is a supplement that helps your body make glutathione, a powerful antioxidant. It protects your cells, especially in your lungs and liver, from everyday damage and toxins.

How do I take it for the best results?
Studies on NAC for lung support used 600mg twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. That's why we recommend one capsule in the morning and one capsule in the evening.

You can take it with food or on an empty stomach. Both work fine. If it upsets your stomach, just take it with a meal.

Why 600mg and not 1200mg?
The best results came from splitting the dose, not from taking it all at once. NAC only stays active in your body for about 6 to 8 hours, so one big 1200mg pill only gives your body the benefit for part of the day. Studies found more success with 600mg in the morning and 600mg in the evening, keeping a steady amount working in your body all day instead of one short burst. That's why FormaB uses 600mg capsules meant to be taken twice daily, rather than one large 1200mg pill once a day.

How long until I notice results?
NAC isn't designed to be an overnight fix. In the HIACE trial, meaningful improvements didn't show up until months into consistent daily use, not day one. Individual experiences vary, so we recommend following the protocol consistently for the full 90-day supply rather than judging it after only a few days.

What exactly am I getting in each capsule?
FormaB isn't a proprietary blend filled with a long list of ingredients at unclear doses. Each capsule provides 600mg of NAC, with a simple twice-daily protocol: one in the morning, one in the evening. You know exactly what you're taking and how much you're getting.

Isn't NAC banned by the FDA?
No. In 2022, the FDA issued formal guidance confirming NAC supplements can continue to be sold while it reviews a technical classification issue dating back to a 1963 drug approval. NAC has been sold as a supplement for over 30 years and remains legal and widely available today.

Is it safe to take with my medications?
NAC can interact with certain medications, including nitroglycerin and some blood thinners. If you're on prescription medication, talk to your doctor before starting, same as with any supplement.

Why is it cheaper than other lung support brands?
We're not paying for proprietary blends, trendy packaging, or inflated "clinical strength" markups. You're paying for 600mg of real NAC per capsule, tested and dosed to match published research, nothing more.
